Today I'm finally remembering to finish and post an introduction post. Most important thing first:
I am constantly reminded of how far I have yet to come as an ally and as a person, but I just want to put this out there: If ever I do or say anything that makes you feel hurt, unwelcome, or uncomfortable, I promise that I will do my best to listen as calmly and patiently as possible, and if necessary will remove myself from the keyboard for time to calm down so my response will not be reactive or defensive. For any times that I have said anything that has hurt you in the past, I apologize. I'm always trying to do better, and I know that sometimes that's not enough.

Ten things you might want to know about me:
1) I'm a queer, privileged, cis-gendered, white woman.
2) My greatest love in life is writing, both fic and original.
3) My fic can be found in a variety of places, but most of it is available or linked at
tuesdayfic.
4) I've been in fandom since 1996, starting at the age of ten when my sister introduced me to the internet. (Yes, that makes me 23.)
5) My best friend is
lizfu. You will probably see me talk about her quite often.
6) I am very much a fannish butterfly. There are some fandoms I will turn back to quite often (Psych, for instance, holds a very warm place in my heart), but I am always flitting on to new ones (currently, Leverage is catching my eye), though sometimes I keep a "main" fandom for a while.
7) Sometimes I am in RPFandoms. I've moved away from politifandom (at least, as far as writing and most reading goes), but I'm in The Daily Show/The Colbert Report and Kanye West fandom.
8) I am very much of the belief that diversity is good, and that while my areas of fannish glee or enjoyment don't necessarily match yours, that in no way means that we can't get along.
9) On that note, there are some things that I, for the most part, won't read. These include, but are not limited to: chan, teacher/student relationships, large age gaps, non- or dub-con, and incest. While there are exceptions to these (Gregor/Miles, for one), I have no interest in searching them out. I'm mostly listing this to let you know I won't fill comment-fic requests and to please not surprise me with non-con in something you may ask me to beta for you.
10) For the most part, I'm fairly laid back. Friend, unfriend, access, remove access, subscribe, or unsubscribe at will. I hope you don't take too much offense if I do much the same. Status on my reading list isn't necessarily indicative of how I view our interpersonal relationship.
If ever you have any questions or comments, consider this a free post to nudge me.

Considering I'm still in the process of setting up my Dreamwidth, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to kick myself and finally post an intro. *g*
And oh man, I am so getting my hands on some Leverage DVDs when I am back in Asia, I was trying to resist, but the combined forces of Aldis Hodge and Chris Kane and the brunette who played Jane on Coupling are too much to resist ♥
Me, too! It's why I ended up going with that format.

Let me know what you think! It is a very nifty show.
Nice to meet you?
I just realized that I've known you for something like seven, eight years. :o
That would be because it's awesome. *g*
Still level-building?
I figured either I pointed out I really did know you, or everyone would assume you were my stalkee.
All new things for me, so thanks for posting it!
And...nice to meet you! ;)
Hee, your icon.
Hah! *karate chops your emo-writing-angst*

I think it's what you make of it at this point. There are a lot of people who are subscribing, but not granting much access, and a good deal of us who are like "Whee, have access! I hope you don't mind if I only briefly drop in rather than subscribing." And then there are some who do both with everyone. It is a wild and free new environment, so we'll see what etiquette turns up as time passes.
We need to hear from you!
